The White Rose Classic Tour 2013 

Regulations 

The White Rose Classic Tour is open to owners of any cherished car, regardless of age.

The Askern start of the 2013 tour is from 'Shakers' off the A19 Doncaster - Selby road, opposite Askern Boating Lake. There is a sign to 'Shakers' and there will be LMSC dayglow arrows directing you into the site. Please allow the marshals to show you into a parking space (we have a limited area). 

If you have non-touring friends coming to see you off, ask them to park off site.

The start time for the first car will be 10.30am with cars leaving at minute intervals. Apart from a restart time from the lunch halt there is no other timing on this event.

Obviously all vehicles must be taxed, tested and insured for non-timed touring assemblies.

Show courtesy and consideration to residents when you park at the lunch halt. Please take your litter home or find a rubbish bin.

On finding a viewpoint or somewhere for that 'Kodak moment'  park safely and sensibly even if you do want your car included in the photograph. 

Ensure your rally plate is fastened to the front of your car because our photographer wants to be able to distinguish who is and isn't a tourist. There is also a toll-bridge on route where your toll is pre-paid so the toll-bridge operative will need to be able to see your plate.

There is a pub / cafe near Sherburn in Elmet which is extremely popular with motorcyclists who come from all parts of the north of England. On a sunny weekend day there can be hundreds of them.

Be on your guard for them especially on the twisty, open stretches of road. They usually travel in groups so if you encounter one motorbike on a bend or overtaking you - watch out for his mates following! ......THINK BIKE.
